I know originally when the game came out, people were able to exploit Gauntlet by winning 6 games in Bronze super easily basically 100% of the time, then losing the boss fight on purpose to stay in Bronze. A revised stranger deck with more rares and some other tweaks might have potential. The main weaknesses seem to be lack of card draw (Fortunate Strangers would help that) and lack of mana control (various ways to help there). So in short, it is a decent gauntlet deck, but still quite far away from the 50% 6+ win deck I'm looking for, at least in the form you posted. The results of 4 gauntlets were: 5 wins - loss to mana screw, 4 wins - loss to better mirror stranger deck + RNG, 5 wins - loss to mana flood and opponent played smuggler's stash, 3 wins - loss to slight mana flood + 4x opponent echo's for card advantage. sorry Master - So I was able to test your Stranger deck. so why not stick an Hourglass in since we have no Endurance Stranger and also at that point why not Zoidberg. You're gonna run Determined stranger anyway.

If you're curious about the difference it drops 1 rain of frogs, 1 Doom and 1 Swiftblade for an Animist and 2 Harbringers for stalled games it still happily won Gauntlet 7-0 even before I got a full set of Dooms in it.
